VictoriaBusiness.ca gives Greater Victoria owners access to senior business and marketing advice without hiring a full-time executive. We help with growth planning, marketing strategy and operations, and we stay with the decision long enough to see whether it worked.

This Canadian consulting brand belongs to the Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca group of companies, which is headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia, serves clients across Canada, and is led by Ali Sedighi, MBA.

The group behind the site

Two companies sit behind this brand: Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca. Sedighi.ca is Ali Sedighi's growth, marketing and technology consulting company. HVAC.Agency, HVAC.Digital, Trades.Agency, Conv.ca and BusinessConsulting.ca all sit under it.

SAZ.ca, which stands for Strategy & Acceleration Zone, is a Canadian consulting firm focused on strategy, AI and revenue acceleration. Ali founded it and serves as Founder & Managing Partner, with strategic leadership from Sedighi.ca.

VictoriaBusiness.ca brings that group's methods to owner-run companies in the capital region. We don't have an office in Victoria, and we don't pretend to. The work happens in your numbers, your calendar and your customer records, which travel well.

Ali Sedighi, MBA

Ali has more than 17 years of experience in digital marketing and business growth, starting in 2007. That year he founded ONE.ir, a full-service digital marketing agency. He holds an MBA in Technology Management and now lives and works in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Later ventures include Conv.ca, which focuses on conversion-rate optimisation, and MyAutomation.ca. At SAZ.ca he holds the title of Founder & Managing Partner. He has worked with clients in Canada, the USA and Dubai.

Much of his recent work has been with home-service companies. The count of live HVAC websites he has built now passes 150; CombiBoiler.ca, GasBoilers.ca and Roma Heating & Cooling are three of them. That experience is the source of our published case studies, which we describe as results from our HVAC work. The lessons, about tracking every enquiry, fixing follow-up and putting money where the numbers point, apply well beyond heating.

How we work

Every engagement follows the same rules, written down so you can hold us to them.

  1. Numbers before opinions. We start with your sales, margins and costs, even if they are rough.
  2. Short documents. A plan you won't reread is wasted. We aim for pages, not binders.
  3. One owner per action. Every recommendation names who does it and by when.
  4. Your accounts, your files. Spreadsheets, models and plans belong to you. Where we need access to your systems, it is read-only and removable.
  5. Meet the way you prefer. In person or by video call, or by phone, text and email.
  6. Plain scope and price. Every project has a written scope and price before work starts. Retainers carry no lock-in.

What we are not

We are advisors, not operators, lenders or licensed professionals. VictoriaBusiness.ca provides business and marketing consulting, not engineering, mechanical design, inspection, code-compliance, accounting, legal or financing services. We don't do trade work for clients, and we don't sell software.

When a question needs a CPA, lawyer, lender or licensed specialist, we tell you, and we help you prepare clear questions so their time is used well. For regulated matters, the relevant bodies are a better source than any consultant: WorkSafeBC for workplace safety, Consumer Protection BC for certain consumer-facing rules, and BC Registries for business registration.

Why a separate Victoria brand

Because the capital region has its own economic calendar and geography. Government, tourism, education, technology and the naval base at Esquimalt shape demand here in ways that differ from the Lower Mainland. Travel between the core, the West Shore and the Peninsula is a real cost. Advice that ignores those facts is generic advice.

Two sister services exist for related needs. If you already know your plan and want campaigns run day to day, VictoriaAgency.ca is the agency side of the group in Victoria. If your plan ends with selling or handing over the business, BusinessExit.ca covers exit readiness.

Frequently asked questions

Who will I actually work with?

Ali Sedighi, MBA, leads every engagement himself. There is no sales team or junior hand-off; the person on the first call is the person who writes your plan.

Is VictoriaBusiness.ca a separate company from Sedighi.ca?

VictoriaBusiness.ca is a service brand within the Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca group. Contracts, invoices and the advisor are the same group and the same person.

Do you provide accounting, legal or engineering advice?

No. This is business and marketing consulting, not accounting, legal, financing, engineering, inspection or code-compliance services. When a question needs one of those professionals, we say so and help you prepare for that conversation.

Why is the group based in Vancouver if this site is about Victoria?

The group serves clients across Canada from its Vancouver headquarters. Victoria owners can consult with us in person or by video call, or by phone, text and email, and we plan around the capital region's own geography and calendar rather than treating it as a suburb of the mainland.
